2010 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2009 Mt. Veeder is as always a serious wine with an opaque purple blue color. Perfumed aromas of blueberry pie, blackberry, licorice, smoked meats, iodine and caramelizing sugar jump out of the glass. On the palate dark, dense berry flavors, black cherry cola intermixed with tar and rich toast make for a compelling taste that lingers in the mouth for several minutes. Muscular but with restrained elegance it carries the O'Shaughnessy trademark of balance and power.

(97+ Points) Dark red cherries, iron, crushed rocks, flowers and mint are all layered into the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder. Layers of bright underlying minerality and acidity give the 2010 much of its energy and sheer thrust. This is another exceptional wine, but readers will have to be patient. ~ Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate.
