Oakville Chardonnay

2011

We again used the natural yeast present in the vineyard for fermentation and also set out to keep the malolactic fermentation to a minimum, creating a wine with great complexity and freshness. Pale yellow in color with a hint of green and a slight haze from the yeast, this wine displays aromas of Canary melon, tangerine, Anjou pear, kiwi, lemon zest and jasmine. Flavors of orange blossoms, toffee, crème brulee, hazelnut, honeycomb and star fruit compliment the balanced acidity on the palate.

Mount Veeder Syrah

2010

This is our second release of Syrah. This wine has a saturated ruby color with a deep purple hue and intense aromas of grilled meats, smoke, char, graphite, blue fruits bacon, pomegranate and Spanish cedar. On the palate the wine is rich and full with plum, wild mushroom, blueberry cobbler and cinnamon flavors. This is a full throttle mountain Syrah that will last for many years.

Extended Barrel Aged Merlot

2009

Our much touted estate Merlot has been pushed to a whole new level with exotic secondary and tertiary aromatics luring you into a glass of deep and dark mountain Merlot. Purple-black color with an almost opaque core leads into intense wild plum preserve, sweet aged balsamic, black tea and rum raisin aromas. On the palate the wine has sweet, ripe and rich flavors of black cherry, sweet oak, espresso, braised game and anisette candy.
