Three Estates. One Vision. Wines Built to Last.

Perched on Howell Mountain, O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery is a family-owned estate with more than 25 years of winemaking excellence — organically farmed, unhurried, and built on an unwavering commitment to place.

Betty O’Shaughnessy walked thirty-two acres of Oakville in 1990 and recognized something lasting. What followed was a decade of patient, deliberate work with winemaker Sean Capiaux — assembling an estate that now spans three of Napa Valley’s most celebrated appellations: Oakville on the valley floor, Howell Mountain in the volcanic highlands, and Mount Veeder in the Mayacamas range. Each one a different conversation between vine and soil.

Today, the 120-acre Howell Mountain property is home to 42 acres of mature, 30-year-old vines, the winery, and the estate caves carved into the Howell Mountain hillside. The first harvest from these volcanic highlands came in 2003, and the work of making wine worthy of these coveted AVAs has continued every season since.

Our cave tasting room is among the most intimate wine experiences in all of Napa Valley — private, unhurried, and by appointment only. It is the natural home for the wines these vines produce.

O’Shaughnessy wine club members receive first access to every new release, including wines available to members alone. You’re invited to private cave tastings, harvest events, and library verticals — and you’re the first to know when something exceptional emerges from the cellar.
